Community Partnerships, Human Services & Civic Identity
Use partnerships to connect residents with services and strengthen Deltona without pretending City Hall can operate every social program itself.
The Concern
Residents encounter needs involving seniors, families, veterans, food insecurity, homelessness, mental health, disability access, events, and community connection that cross many agencies.
What Deltona Can Actually Control
The City can coordinate, provide facilities, communicate resources, make lawful grants/partnerships, and convene organizations, while many direct social services belong to County, state, nonprofit, healthcare, or faith partners.
My Current Commitment
I will help connect residents to the right agency or partner and support practical collaborations where the City can add value without duplicating services it is not equipped to run.
Proposed Actions
- Maintain a clear referral map for common constituent-service needs.
- Use City facilities and communications strategically for community partnerships.
- Support civic events and programs that build local identity when costs are justified.
- Measure partnership outcomes instead of funding programs indefinitely without review.

Existing partnerships, grants, facility use, service gaps, accessibility, event costs, nonprofit coordination, and resident needs.
